​Since earning my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2005, I’ve worked across Australia, from city hospitals to remote communities, supporting individuals through injury, illness, and recovery. Over the past eight years, I’ve specialised in medicolegal work, conducting comprehensive assessments and providing expert opinions to assist in both ongoing and proposed legal matters.

I’m experienced in court reporting, cross-examination, and trial testimony, and pride myself on delivering clear, evidence-based insights that support fair and informed outcomes.

In 2016, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Sexology, further deepening my understanding of how injury impacts identity, relationships, and return to work, especially through the lens of sexual health and well-being.

Today, through Insight Medicolegal, I bring together 20+ years of clinical experience with a thoughtful, person-centred approach to expert reporting. I believe in honest communication, high-quality work, and the power of clarity in complex legal situations.

With a strong foundation in clinical and occupational rehabilitation, Kirsten specialises in delivering high-quality medicolegal assessments that are objective, defensible, and grounded in best-practice clinical standards. Drawing on extensive experience across rehabilitation settings, she supports individuals recovering from injury to regain independence in their daily activities and maximise their return-to-work potential.
Kirsten’s core clinical expertise includes: Activities of daily living (ADL) assessments, Functional capacity evaluations, Ergonomic and workplace assessments and Tailored rehabilitation and return-to-work planning working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
In the medicolegal field, Kirsten provides meticulous, objective, and evidence-based assessments, delivering high-quality reports that support legal and insurance matters. Her evaluations align with best clinical practices, offering lawyers, insurers, and other stakeholders reliable insights for informed decision-making.
Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) and is accredited through AHPRA and as a Certified Occupational Therapy Driving Assessor. She has a diverse background in occupational rehabilitation, clinical and inpatient rehabilitation, community chronic condition services, and aged care. She is currently General Manager of Insight Rehabilitation QLD, providing leadership in occupational therapy service delivery, and Senior Expert Occupational Therapist at Insight Medicolegal, delivering comprehensive medicolegal assessments and expert reports nationwide.
